Celebrating Excellence: Our Annual Nursery Awards Day
We are thrilled to share the highlights of our recent Annual Superstar Awards Day! This special event is dedicated to celebrating the incredible dedication and hard work of our nursery staff, who go above and beyond to make your child’s nursery experience exceptional. Here’s a look back at the wonderful day we had!
Team Building Fun
The day kicked off with a series of fun and engaging team-building games that brought out plenty of laughter and camaraderie. Staff participated in:
- Bingo: A classic game that got everyone’s competitive spirit flowing.
- Higher and Lower: A fast-paced guessing game full of surprises.
- Christmas Anagrams: A festive brain-teaser that had us all scratching our heads.
- Quick as You Can: A test of speed and creativity that had everyone on their toes!
These activities were not only a great way to bond but also a reminder of the teamwork and enthusiasm that make our nursery so special.
Special Moments with a Guest Speaker
We were honoured to welcome a very inspiring guest speaker, Mushy from the popular TV show Educating Yorkshire. Mushy shared his powerful story of overcoming a stammer with the help of supportive and determined teachers. His heartfelt message about the impact educators can have on a child’s life left us all deeply moved and reminded us why we do what we do every day.
Festive Fun and Awards
The festivities continued with a delightful buffet that gave everyone a chance to relax and enjoy some delicious treats.
Our talented chefs added a special touch by creating their own festive bakes, which were judged by a panel to determine the winner. The competition showcased their creativity and culinary skills, making it a delightful highlight of the day. The winner of the Chef Bake Off was Shobna Pratap from West Twyford!
Adding to the fun, we also had a photo booth, which was a huge hit! Staff members captured plenty of festive and light-hearted memories with their colleagues, creating moments to treasure.
In the afternoon, we shifted the focus to recognising and celebrating the outstanding contributions of our team members with the Superstar Awards.

All staff arrived dressed in their best festive attire, and the creativity on display was amazing! From sparkly jumpers to full holiday costumes, the spirit of the season was alive and well. We held a Best Dressed Competition which added an extra layer of excitement. Everyone made a huge amount of effort however Chalfont St Peter and Acton Park were crowned joint winners!
At the end of the day, every team member received a thoughtful Christmas gift bag as a token of appreciation.

We are incredibly proud of our team and grateful for the opportunity to celebrate them in such a meaningful way.
