My Name is Ela and I’m the Chalfont Nursery Manager, I have worked for Hungry Caterpillar for over 5 years and I’m passionate about learning through play and aim to ensure all children have fun whilst developing new skills. I look forward to welcoming you to our new nursery and letting you see for yourself how we support children to achieve their full potential.
The new nursery is housed in a lovely character building set in the heart of the village. Previously a public house, The Chalfont Phoenix, has been completely renovated from inside to outside and transformed it into a fantastic nursery for local families. The nursery caters for around 65 children from babies through to school age and also offers a range of parenting classes for families attending and the wider community.
Hungry Caterpillar’s Chalfont’s onsite chef, Mandy, will be cooking nutritious meals for the children using locally sourced produced. Chalfont will also see the launch of ‘Caterpillar Parent Services’ which will enable busy working parents to use the nursery as a one stop shop for emergency supplies, dry cleaning and local errands. More will be revealed but essentially the aim is to ensure local business’s benefit from the nursery and parent’s lives are made easier.
A learning rich enviorment
The nursery will run regular Forest School sessions for the children taking full advantage of their wonderful garden area and local green belt. Children will also have the opportunity to access weekly Yoga sessions, French classes and music sessions.
Oliva Foley, founder & Director of Hungry Caterpillars said:
“We are so excited about our new nursery in Chalfont St Peter, the Phoenix has been empty for nearly four years so it will be great to see it brought back to life again. This nursery is particularly close to my heart as Chalfont is also my home and where children have grown up and gone to school. We intend to make Chalfont our flagship nursery and create a real home from home environment for the children. We are working with a fantastic architect whose ideas are going to transform the building. I’m delighted to be able to finally be able to offer our services to the families of Chalfont.”
