It is one of our smaller nurseries offering places for children aged 3 months to 5 years and therefore we have been able to create a real home from home environment. Our children centre location gives families access to a range of services, support and a monthly activity programme. We also have great links to all local feeder schools supporting children with transition.
The nursery is designed to take full advantage of an open plan layout and the wonderful light created by the wall of windows that leads onto our garden. Outdoor learning is important which is why we encourage children to be outside at every opportunity and in addition run regular Forest School sessions for our pre-schoolers. Children also enjoy weekly French lessons, musical movement sessions and local outings which broaden the children’s view on the world.
We place an emphasis on working in partnership with you and give you the opportunity to join our Parent Forum. We hope you will feel part of our homely nursery and your child’s care even when you’re apart.
Come and visit us, we would love to show you around!
My name is Lamarie and I am the Manager here at Hungry Caterpillars Acton. Working with children has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember, so I decided in 2006 to start my career as a Nursery Practitioner.

I went on to further study and gained a Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education, following on at Roehampton University gaining a BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies. I have developed a strong understanding of what great childcare involves and want to continue to showcase this throughout my time here at Hungry Caterpillars. I am committed to making a difference and want to ensure that our children develop into confident lifelong learners and achievers.
I am really happy with my son’s progress at Hungry Caterpillars. The staff are very welcoming and always treat my son as an individual and support his development.
