Northolt Charity Walk for Great Ormond Street
At Hungry Caterpillar Day Nurseries, we’re lucky to work alongside people with the biggest hearts, and our recent Northolt charity walk showed just how big those hearts really are.
Our Northolt charity walk: 10 miles across our nursery family
On Saturday 10th October, Kiran, Kim, Paula, Amina, Maisie, Angel and Kara laced up their trainers and set off on a 10-mile sponsored walk in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
Rather than taking just any route, the team turned their walk into a tour of our nursery family. They stopped in at West Twyford, Perivale, Hanwell and Academy Gardens, before heading home to finish where it all started, at Northolt. Mile after mile, the day was filled with laughter, teamwork and memories they’ll treasure.
Why Great Ormond Street?
“Working with children every day makes this cause especially close to our hearts,” says Kiran. “We wanted to do our part to help children receive the care, treatment and support they need, whilst showing our own children the importance of kindness, community and helping others.”
Kindness and community are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s wonderful to see our team living those values well beyond the nursery doors.

Smashing their target
The team set themselves a goal of £400. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our families, friends and supporters, they more than doubled it, raising a fantastic £810 to support seriously ill children and their families.
